Greetings SCSC Member,

After thoughtful consideration, it has been determined to increase annual membership dues by $50 for the upcoming pool season.

For your consideration, this is only the second time in the last 4 years that SCSC has made the decision to increase dues (previously increased $30, 2 years ago). During this time period, the swim club has seen significant increases in overall costs, specifically with our Pool Management Company(DRD), since 2022, costs have increased nearly 40%. From 2023 to 2025 this increase was about 13%. Additionally, our insurance and power consumption costs continue to increase YoY as well, averaging about 8% the last couple of years.

As our club continues to grow, we have looked for ways to upgrade the property for everyone, specifically over the last year we have installed a new pool slide, new hoops for the basketball court, installed a new gaga ball pit, and repaired the entryways in the upper pools.

Some upgrades and projects that are already in process for the upcoming pool season include, new lifeguard chairs, upgraded pool furniture, new diving board and stand, and renovated bathrooms.

There are also some major projects that will be required over the next few years, white coating of upper and lower pools, top-coating the parking lot, pavilion wood and roof replacement, club-house HVAC and Roof replacement, and pool cover replacements. This recommended increase will also help us start saving for these future expenses, and to make sure any unforeseen maintenance items can be addressed timely.

Respectfully,

The BOD
