Gary Seibel

We have been members of the Pool since 2002 and our son was on the swim team for 4 years. We live very close to the Pool and enjoy our time there. I have served as Vice-President of SCSC for the last 3 years.  I am currently employed by the US Food and Drug Administration where I oversee construction and modification of research facilities.  I have been involved in the development of electrical and mechanical systems for over 40 years and feel that my experience aligns well with the needs of the pool. Thank you for your consideration

Patrice Stair

Patrice Stair has served as the Activities Chair for three years.  She has been an active volunteer in the Carroll County sports community as a coach, team manager and cheering parent for 18 years.  She has degree in marketing and experience as the fundraising chair for a national non-profit.  Currently she helps with the family business and works in education.  Patrice strives to make the pool a fun, safe place for all families.

Ryan Stecher

My name is Ryan and I am running for South Carroll Swim Club’s Board of Directors. I have served the last 3 years on the Board of Directors as Treasurer and Co-Treasurer. I have helped to support the Club as we have implemented our new financial platforms, helping to better automate our club’s processes. During my time we have also secured new revenue streams, helping to keep annual membership costs as low as possible. My goal over this next term is to continue to explore other potential revenue streams to not only help continue keeping costs low but to also help create a great overall experience for members.
I have over 18 years experience within the Audit and Corporate Finance field, I have enjoyed coaching many local youth lacrosse, football, and basketball teams in the South Carroll Area, and I have two young kids who enjoy going to the pool all summer long. I look forward to being able to continue to create and add value to the club over the next few years. Thank you for considering me for this position.

Mike Von Paris

My name is Mike von Paris, my family and I have been members for 4 years now.  We love to pool community and the members.   I have been in the IT field since 2004 holding various positions from troubleshooting simple computer problems, to building complex network infrastructures for a business generating millions of dollars a month.  Currently I hold the position of Information Security Manager at Towson University where I manage a team of 4 to monitor the University’s network for malicious threats.
My children are 14 and 11 and are involved with dance, soccer, field hockey and lacrosse that keeps us busy throughout the year.  My wife is a first grade teacher at a local elementary school in the area and loves to run into her students when we are at the pool. As a hobby i enjoy biking swimming and running in that order and compete in numerous triathlons throughout the year.  I currently manage 2 of my friends businesses websites to help them generate web traffic for their business.  If you need a dependable, logical down to earth person to help the swim club, I can be an asset to the club.  Thank you for your consideration!

Kenny McWhirter

I am excited to introduce myself as a candidate for the local board position at South Carroll Swim Club. My name is Kenny McWhirter and I live in Woodbine with my wife, Lee, and our two kids Trip (5) and Wiona (3). I have been working in finance for 16 years and completed both my undergraduate and MBA from Salisbury University. I have developed a strong foundation in financial management and strategic planning. In my spare time, I enjoy fixing up my older home, maintaining our wooded property and restoring older cars/motorcycles. I’m always happy to help and jump in wherever needed.

This past spring, I had the pleasure of helping the pool prepare for the coming season and spent the day with a number of other volunteers. As a new member of the South Carroll Swim Club, I have quickly come to appreciate the vibrant community and the positive impact the club has on our families.

I am eager to bring my financial expertise, renovation knowledge, and passion for community engagement to the board, working collaboratively to enhance our programs, facilities, and overall member experience. Thank you for considering my candidacy!
